Poster Template

Here is a template of out poster. The photo which is on it is not what were going to use but its to give us an idea what it would look like. On the top we are going to have the image of the two main characters when their in school and the below image is going to be the character whens their grown up. Inbetween we are going to have the title. I think this is good as it splits the images up. I really like the font of our title and works well using two fonts. Underneath the 2nd image we will have the billingblock and date the film comes out. This is at the bottom as thats where most of them are from what posters we have researched.

Storyboard take 2

Here is our storyboard for our new film we have decided to make as we were having troubles with our last storyline and found it hard to think of what to capture on camera. Our storyboard starts with the institutions which show who helped produce the film. It then opens with a reporter and an Actress who are in an interview, as she walks in she recognises him from school years ago, a boy who had a crush on her but she refused him as he was a geek. We then go to a caption which is still in progress of what to put. Then it flashbacks to when he was younger and all the clumsy things he did like tripping over and getting stuck on door handles. Another caption comes up. We then see the popular girl when she was younger laughing around with all her mates. Again we have a caption to explain the story and how fates changed. Lastly we go back to the interview where she now falls for him after all these years because his now good looking. Our title Keeping Faith is the last thing to come up which is our film title. Throughout the who trailer their will be a song over the topwhich keeps the flow.

Magazine front cover so far!!

Here is a preview of our Magazine front cover so far. I really like the first draft and think it has started coming together so well however we do have a few things which need changing.

Our first thing that we need to change is the fonts for 'Losing Faith' and also the spelling of our title. Rachel has been looking on Dafont.com trying to find fonts which suggest our film. We will the get an audience to choose which fonts they like so we can add it to our magazine cover. Our magazine name 'Spotlight' will also be changed into one that an audience likes the most.

When chosing our colour scheme we had difficulty as all pink/red colours clashed with the love heart box so it didnt fit to well. I am going to re-edit the image and change the colour of the heart box to a pink so that we can get a colour for our fonts which fits and doesn't clash.

The other adverts we have added around the edges were thought of by thinking what our target audience would want to read. Another thing which would grab the audiences attension is the FREE Johnny Depp poster. This is made to stick out from our magazine cover. We wanted there to be an interview with the two main characters and we put this at the top of the magazine cover.

Altogether we have a good start of a magazine cover and we know where the improvements are to be made. This is something we will be working on later in classes.

Photos for Magazine & Film Poster

Here are the images that we have taken for our film cover and magazine front cover. The use of props works well with the images as it shows the genre of romance. I like the way we made the male all cheesy and happy and the female being moody. This suggest how the character acts throughout the film. We need to do some editing to these images but for now this is a good start on what we want our covers to be like. Seeing as we took these images so early in the film it means if we dislike any we can get new images in plenty of time.
